Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with Bulk & Curtainside trailers, and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism while on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate Bulkers & Tautliners to transport goods to various locations, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, conduct, and vehicle maintenance.
- Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C) with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A commitment to maintaining a high standard of professionalism on the road.
- MPQC and/or ADR cards would be beneficial.
