Our Pippa’s House Nursery in Aldershot is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Kitchen assistant to join our team. In this role you are there to support the chef in preparing nutritious, delicious meals and help maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
Hours: 25 hours per week

About Our Nursery
Our facilities
Our day nursery offers thoughtfully designed spaces, including a cosy reading corner, that support children’s learning, play and well-being. Each of our rooms is tailored to specific ages and stages of development.
Our garden
Our large garden is safely designed and well-resourced to support children’s play, exploration and well-being. Children are encouraged to explore through active play, with access to creative equipment, sand and water that support physical development and curiosity.
Activities
Children enjoy a variety of activities that enhance their curiosity and creativity. Sessions include messy play, music and movement through fun Boogie Mites sessions, crafts, and creative arts, helping children develop motor skills, social confidence and self-expression.

Our nursery is situated in the heart of Aldershot, a friendly town with a vibrant community, plenty of green spaces and fantastic amenities for families. Close to Belle Vue Road and Ivy Road, the nursery provides easy access for families from nearby areas including Ash Vale, Fleet and Guildford. The site is well connected, with local bus routes and Aldershot train station nearby,
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensuring all food production, service, and presentation meet the required standards.
- Carrying out all catering activities in line with the allocated budget.
- Responding promptly to any feedback regarding the catering operation.
- Purchasing supplies through approved suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with all aspects of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Covering all duties during the Cook's absence.
- Assisting within the nursery rooms as directed by the Nursery Manager or Cook.
