We are seeking to recruit committed and energetic Sessional Workers towork on our playschemes as well as the possibility of work in our after school and evening clubs with children, young people and adults, who have learning and physical disabilities and or autism.
As a Sessional Worker you will be involved in the planning and delivery of a variety of sessions and activities for disabled children and young people at the Markfield community centre. This includes listening to service users’ ideas to design services around their needs, choices and aspirations. You will support and involve service users in activities which are playful, stimulating and enjoyable, while promoting their well being and encouraging them to take an active role in their community.
Experience: We welcome applications from those who have experience in play work or youth work, working with disabled children and or adults. Markfield can develop your skills in working with a range of age groups. We also particularly welcome people with creative skills in arts, music, dance, drama.
Hours and working pattern:
We are currently able to offer part-time work for up to 30 hours a week during school holidays in our playschemes.
In addition to the playschemes there is also the opportunity to work on our term-time clubs (30-36 weeks a year).
