Overview
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative and Driver to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine warehouse responsibilities with commercial driving duties, ensuring efficient logistics and delivery operations. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments
- Assist in warehouse tasks such as stock picking, packing, inventory checks, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
- Support warehouse operations by organizing stock and assisting with inventory management
Skills
- Proven delivery driver experience with a valid driver license or equivalent commercial driving license
- Experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of heavy lifting procedures
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items safely
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safe driving practices in a commercial setting
- Reliable, punctual, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
