The post holder will provide and maintain a flexible, dedicated, comprehensive support service to departments of the
Health Board, under the direction of Portering Coordinator / Portering Shift Leader, enabling both clinical and non-clinical departments to function effectively.
Undertake a wide range of routine portering duties including moving and handling, in line with portering department and general Health Board policies and procedures, with a commitment to customer care, following on the job training.
Work as part of a team to provide an efficient portering services to the Health Board, contributing to first class customer service to all users of the Health Board.
To transfer patients, medical equipment and associated medical sundries as delegated by the line management by use of bed,
chair, trolley etc.
Transfer furniture and assist in relocating equipment during office relocations and or new developments, including disposal where
appropriate
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
