About Us:
Mimosa Restaurant is located in Colchester Business Park with easy ample on site car parking facilities. The operation delivers premium river side dining from an opulently decorated 6000sqft, 120 cover venue with a large commercial kitchen.
The menu delivers freshly sourced local produce with a seasonal modern British menu and daily seafood and grill specials.
We are seeking an experienced CDP at this high end operation delivering culinary excellence using fresh seasonal produce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have input in the design and execute seasonal menus and daily specials
- Supervise and mentor the kitchen brigade, ensuring high standards of food prep and
presentation
- Support in menu innovation, dish development, and seasonal updates
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety protocols
- Oversee daily mise en place, portion control, and plating quality
- Assist in managing kitchen stock, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, creative, and disciplined kitchen culture
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as CDP in similar type operations
- Deep understanding of Indian spices, techniques, and regional dishes — with a flair for modern presentation
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- Experience in high-volume kitchens without compromising quality
- Working knowledge of food safety regulations (Level 2/3 certification preferred)
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for innovation
- A committed to delivering culinary excellence with attention to detail
