Are you an experienced Finance Systems professional looking for an opportunity to lead digital transformation within a national charity?
We're looking for a Senior Systems Accountant to become our finance systems subject matter expert, leading the development, optimisation and continuous improvement of our finance systems. This is a pivotal role that combines technical finance systems expertise with strategic thinking, helping us maximise the value of our technology investment while supporting better financial decision-making across the organisation.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of our NetSuite Financials platform, leading finance systems projects, driving automation and improving reporting, data quality and governance. Working collaboratively with Finance, Technology & Data and our operational teams, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of Nacro's finance systems and ensuring they continue to support the organisation's strategic ambitions.

What you'll be doing
As Senior Systems Accountant, you'll lead the development and optimisation of Nacro's finance systems by:
- Acting as the organisation's subject matter expert for NetSuite Financials and associated reporting tools.
- Leading the day-to-day administration, development and optimisation of the finance system.
- Driving finance systems improvements, identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve reporting and enhance the user experience.
- Leading finance systems projects from planning through to successful implementation, ensuring objectives are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Managing system configuration and development changes, ensuring appropriate governance, testing and documentation.
- Developing and maintaining the finance systems roadmap, helping shape future enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.
- Maintaining robust financial controls, system integrity and high-quality financial data.
- Monitoring integrations, troubleshooting system issues and working with software suppliers and ICT colleagues to deliver effective solutions.
- Designing and developing reporting, dashboards and management information that supports informed decision-making.
- Delivering training, guidance and ongoing support to finance system users across the organisation.
- Coaching and developing junior members of the Finance team while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
You'll be someone who
- Is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Has significant experience in a Finance Systems or Systems Accountant role.
- Has expert knowledge of NetSuite or another large ERP finance system.
- Has successfully led finance systems implementations, upgrades or transformation projects.
- Has a strong understanding of financial accounting, management accounting and financial controls.
- Is passionate about process improvement, automation and using technology to improve business performance.
- Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues.
- Can confidently communicate and build strong relationships with Finance, ICT and operational colleagues at all levels.
- Is highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deliver against challenging deadlines.
- Demonstrates sound judgement, accountability and a commitment to maintaining robust governance and data integrity.
Experience within the charity or public sector, along with knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI and AI-enabled finance technologies, would be advantageous.
