Contract Labour Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for a Weighbridge & HSEQ Site Support Coordinator to work with our client who is an established recycling company, with work taking place in the Doncaster area (DN4).
Pay: £15.50ph
Duration: 3 Months - Temp to Perm
This is a varied role combining weighbridge operations with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) support. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of site activities, maintaining compliance with company procedures, supporting operational teams, and promoting a safe, efficient and well-organised working environment.
The successful candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent administrative and communication skills, and have a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
Role: Candidates will be completing the following tasks.
Weighbridge Operations
- Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of materials through the weighbridge.
- Manage goods in, including tipping coordination, inspections and reporting.
- Photograph inbound and outbound loads using the RECY system where required.
- Coordinate outbound loads, including containers, bulk materials, waste movements and export requirements.
- Complete quality exception reporting and maintain accurate weighbridge records.
Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the site.
- Ensure adherence to PPE requirements and company Health & Safety procedures.
- Complete daily and weekly compliance checks.
- Carry out weekly odour and fly monitoring and reporting.
- Manage the site fire logbook, including routine testing of emergency lighting and fire equipment.
- Ensure fire extinguishers are correctly positioned and report any damaged or discharged equipment.
- Complete monthly first aid box inspections.
- Support the delivery of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Risk Assessments (RA), COSHH and Toolbox Talks (TBTs).
- Assist with site audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
Site Administration & Operational Support
- Produce production reports and operational documentation.
- Coordinate batching activities and complete assay reporting.
- Maintain knowledge of tilter operations and associated maintenance procedures.
- Manage the daily site diary and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Welcome visitors and contractors, carrying out site inductions and managing sign-in/sign-out procedures.
Team & Business Support
- Support the onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Assist with staff administration, including timecards, holidays, sickness reporting, return-to-work documentation and training records.
- Work closely with the Transport Manager to coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
- Liaise with the Site Manager and Production Supervisor to ensure efficient site operations.
- Help maintain high standards throughout the site, including front-of-house areas where applicable.
Requirements: Candidates will need to show the following.
- Previous experience within a weighbridge, recycling, waste management, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills and confidence using operational systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently in a busy operational environment.
