Job Summary
The Driver, Stores & Workshop Operative is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Nero Engineering by delivering and collecting materials and finished products, booking in incoming goods, preparing projects for dispatch, and maintaining an organised stores area. The role also provides general labouring and workshop support to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time while maintaining high standards of quality and housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect materials and finished products.
- Book in and check incoming goods.
- Prepare and dispatch customer orders.
- Load and unload vehicles safely.
- Organise and maintain the stores and yard.
- Support the workshop with general labouring duties.
- Keep the workshop, yard, and stores clean and tidy.
- Operate company vehicles and lifting equipment .
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
.Qualifications & ExperienceEssential
- Full Clean UK driving licence.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
Desirable
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Overhead crane experience.
- Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication environment.
- Knowledge of goods in/goods out.
- Basic understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
