Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter
Birmingham
£20 per hour | 40 hours per week + overtime
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter to join a leading Plant Hire business, covering customers and equipment across the Birmingham area.
You Will Get:
- £20 per hour basic rate
- 40-hour working week
- Overtime available, with enhanced rates on Saturdays and Sundays

About You:
- NVQ 2 Required.
- Previous experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer or similar
- Experience working on excavators, dumpers and telehandlers
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools required
- Previous experience within Plant Hire, Construction or Heavy Engineering would be advantageous
The Job:
- Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing on heavy plant equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Attend breakdowns at customer sites across Birmingham and the surrounding areas
- Ensure machinery is maintained to a safe and reliable standard
- Complete service reports and relevant paperwork
- Work closely with the wider depot and engineering teams
