About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support residents to live comfortably, safely and with dignity by delivering person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and continence care.
- Assisting residents with eating and drinking while promoting independence.
- Supporting safe moving and handling using appropriate equipment.
- Building positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Promoting dignity, choice, privacy and independence at all times.
- Monitoring residents' wellbeing and promptly reporting any concerns.
- Maintaining accurate care records.
- Supporting social activities and encouraging meaningful engagement.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Caring, compassionate and respectful.
- Reliable, professional and trustworthy.
- Excellent communicators with good spoken and written English.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across a rota.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
- Previous experience in a residential care home, nursing home or domiciliary care setting.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards one).
- Medication training (desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
