Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Gardener/Handyman/woman to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of gardening, landscape maintenance, and general handyman duties to ensure the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our grounds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and practical skills in using various tools, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This is a paid position suitable for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in their work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain gardens and landscaped areas through planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including lawn mowing, edging, and fertilising
- Assist with the installation and repair of outdoor features such as fences, pathways, and lighting
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and repairs as needed
- Perform general handyman duties such as fixing fences, repairing equipment, and minor carpentry work
- Ensure all outdoor areas are kept clean, safe, and visually appealing
- Monitor plant health and growth, providing appropriate care or recommending professional intervention when necessary
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in gardening and maintenance tasks
- Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
- Growing experience in horticulture or gardening practices is highly desirable
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care, pruning, and fertilisation
- Familiarity with plant care principles within horticulture settings
- Ability to undertake general handyman tasks with efficiency and safety awareness
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
