Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our Supported Living service in Bristol. You will lead and support a team delivering high-quality, person-centred care to adults aged 18+ with a range of complex needs, including mental health conditions, physical disabilities, autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
You will be responsible for ensuring the service operates safely, effectively, and in line with CQC standards while promoting independence, dignity, and positive outcomes for the people we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Support Workers.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered in accordance with individual support plans.
- Support individuals with daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.
- Conduct staff supervisions, spot checks, observations, and annual appraisals.
- Develop and review care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans.
- Administer and oversee medication in line with company policies.
- Coordinate staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Maintain accurate care records, incident reports, and service documentation.
- Liaise with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention practices.
- Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of new staff.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and relevant legislation.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and safeguarding concerns.
- Participate in the on-call rota where required.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain excellent service standards.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within Supported Living or Adult Social Care.
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or similar leadership role.
- Experience supporting adults with:
- Mental Health
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Physical Disabilities
- Learning Disabilities
- Complex Needs
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
- Strong knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience completing care plans, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Medication Administration training.
- Good IT skills and experience using digital care management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (preferred or essential if required by the service).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge.
- PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) training.
- First Aid, Moving & Handling, and MAPA/PMAS training.
- Experience managing CQC-regulated services.
Pay: £15.00-£15.50 per hour
