Production Line Leader

ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,700 colleagues. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a Production Line Leader to support our packing operations and drive performance on site.
About the Role
Working as part of the packing line, you will support the leadership and development of the team to achieve quality and production targets. This is a hands‑on role involving machine operation, works order management and supporting changeovers, with a strong focus on efficiency, quality and continuous improvement.
4 on 4 off shift pattern. Day shift and night shft available.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and coordinate the team to deliver daily production targets.
- Ensure products are packed efficiently, on time and to customer quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records including works orders, waste, downtime and labour.
- Ensure production plans are followed and jobs are completed correctly.
- Monitor machine performance and report issues to Engineering where required.
- Maintain packaging traceability and ensure all processes are compliant.
- Promote a “right first time” approach to quality and performance.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene, PPE and housekeeping.
- Support team performance and escalate any concerns appropriately.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience within a production or packing environment.
- Confidence operating machinery and working to KPIs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach.
- Organised and methodical with basic IT skills.
