Job Title: Baker / Prep Chef – Morning Shift (6am–12pm)

About the role
We are looking for a reliable Baker / Prep Chef to join our morning team, working the 6am–12pm shift at least 4 days per week. You’ll be responsible for our daily prep, making sure our food is fresh, consistent and ready for service.
Key responsibilities
- Produce tray bakes to recipe and standard
- Prepare fresh juices
- Make salads, sandwiches, and oat & yogurt pots
- Carry out general kitchen prep as needed
- Receive and organise deliveries, including correct labelling and storage
- Keep on top of fridge rotation, date labelling and stock organisation (FIFO)
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation and follow all food safety procedures
Requirements
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (essential)
- Previous experience in a cafe, bakery or prep kitchen is preferred
- Comfortable with early starts (6am) and working at least 4 days per week
- Good attention to detail and consistency
- Able to work well within a small, busy team
Hours and pay
- Hours: 6am–12pm, minimum 4 days per week
- Pay: £13.50 per hour
- Location: Box & Barber, Newquay
- Start date: ASAP
