Overview
We are seeking dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join our client's logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and handling of goods within the warehouse facility. Your efforts will ensure smooth operations, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Working (Rotating)
Week 1: 08:00am - 16:00pm
Week 2: 10:00am - 18:00pm
Paying £14.29ph - Overtime is available - which is paid at Time and a Half and Sundays Double Time
Duties
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse environment
- Load and unload goods
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
- Utilise warehouse management systems to update stock records, and generate reports
- Perform picking and packing tasks accurately to fulfil customer orders efficiently
- Stock shelves systematically, ensuring accessibility and proper labelling of products
- Support stock replenishment activities by loading and unloading goods from delivery trucks
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or similar logistics setting is preferred
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety protocols
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes and procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and documentation
