Responsibilities
- Deliver daily personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Support clients with medication management and adherence to care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and shopping to promote a safe and comfortable environment.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, their families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent and effective care delivery.
- Document all care activities accurately using IT systems, including updates on client progress and any changes in condition.
- Drive safely between client locations, ensuring timely visits while adhering to road safety regulations.
- Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in daily routines and activities suited to their abilities.
Requirements
- Valid driving license with reliable access to a vehicle for home visits.
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care services is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate electronic records of care activities.
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or bank holidays as needed.
