Experienced Coach Driver
J&A Travel – Stockport / Manchester
Due to continued growth, J&A Travel is looking for an experienced Coach Driver to join our team.
The role involves driving coaches of all sizes, including tri-axle coaches, across a varied range of work throughout the UK.
The Role
Our work is varied and includes private hire, school work, sports teams, day trips, events, airport transfers and other coach hire duties.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving coaches of all sizes, including tri-axle vehicles
- Providing a safe, professional and friendly service to passengers
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Keeping vehicles clean and presentable
- Completing any required driver paperwork
- Representing J&A Travel professionally while working with our customers
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a full Category D PCV licence
- Hold a valid Driver CPC
- Have previous coach driving experience
- Be confident driving vehicles of all sizes, including tri-axle coaches
- Have a good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
- Be reliable, punctual and professional
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be flexible, as coach work can include early starts, late finishes, weekends and occasional nights away
