Support Worker for Child – School Holidays Only (13 Weeks per Year)
Hours: 7 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
We are seeking to recruit a Support Worker to assist a young man in building confidence and developing independence during the school holidays.
‘S’ enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly going for walks in his local area, as well as shopping. He also enjoys swimming and playing games on his Xbox.
‘S’ has a diagnosis of autism and associated learning difficulties. At times, he may present behaviours that can be challenging and can be non-verbal. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is patient, calm, and able to respond positively in these situations.
Previous experience of supporting children with autism would be beneficial; however, full training and ongoing supervision will be provided.
Working days and times will be agreed in advance with the family.
An Enhanced DBS check is required. This will be arranged by the employer at no cost to the successful applicant.
