Online Order Picker
Saveco – Bradford
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-focused Online Order Picker to join our busy online shopping team at Saveco.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders for local and nationwide delivery. This is a fast-paced role where product quality, accuracy and good timekeeping are essential.
Main responsibilities
- Picking grocery, fresh, chilled and frozen products for online orders
- Checking the quality, freshness and expiry date of every product
- Picking orders accurately and within the required time
- Choosing suitable alternatives when authorised
- Reporting unavailable or poor-quality products to the supervisor immediately
- Preparing completed orders for packing and delivery
- Handling chilled and frozen products according to food-safety procedures
- Taking care when handling fragile and high-value products
- Helping load and organise customer orders when required
- Keeping the picking, storage and packing areas clean and organised
- Following all company hygiene and health-and-safety procedures
- Supporting the wider online team during busy periods
What we are looking for
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet or handheld picking device
- Physically capable of lifting and moving shopping crates
- Comfortable working in chilled and frozen areas when required
- Able to follow instructions and use initiative
- Flexible and willing to work early mornings and weekends
- A positive and helpful attitude
Previous experience in retail, grocery picking, warehousing or online order fulfilment would be helpful, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.
