Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Primary School Cleaner to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within our educational facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff by providing high standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties across all school areas, including classrooms, hallways, toilets, and communal spaces.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure surfaces are hygienic and presentable.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to the relevant department.
- Adhere to strict hygiene protocols, especially in relation to COVID-19 safety measures, including sanitising high-touch surfaces frequently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Previous experience working within a school or similar educational environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment for children and staff alike.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures is desirable.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
