Our client is an award-winning international hotel operator that is continuing to grow & invest in its portfolio of successful operations. They are seeking to recruit a pro-active Sales Manager who is looking to work part-time & wants to join a busy hotel, renowned for its corporate business, excellent meeting rooms, event space & amazing service & an excellent guest experience.
This is a great opportunity for a pro-active, commercially driven sales and marketing manager or an experienced Senior Sales Executive ready for a step up into their first appointment, to represent the property, driving revenue by successfully selling all aspects of the hotel, building relationships within the local area & the wider national market, driving revenue growth, cultivating strong connections & further enhancing the hotel’s reputation.
Required Experience:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and commercially driven Sales Manager or experienced Senior Sales Executive to join a successful and expanding hotel group with around 40 hotels across the UK. This part-time role is contracted to 20 hours per week, worked over three or four days, and offers excellent long-term progression opportunities within an award-winning company with continued ambitious growth plans.
Located just outside Liverpool city centre with on-site parking, this role offers significant untapped potential. The hotel enjoys strong occupancy levels and features three well-appointed meeting rooms that present excellent opportunities to grow corporate business and events. It is also close to Liverpool Airport which in itself provides numerous opportunities.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager and supported by the Area Sales Director and revenue team, you will be responsible for driving revenue across all market segments, with a particular focus on corporate business, meetings and events, and local partnerships. Whilst the position incorporates a small amount of basic marketing responsibilities, the emphasis is very much on proactive sales activity and developing new and existing business opportunities.
You will create and implement the hotel's sales and marketing plan, identifying opportunities to increase market share and profitability while supporting the delivery of revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan aligned with the hotel's objectives.
- Work closely with the revenue team to retain and grow existing business whilst identifying new opportunities.
- Research competitor activity, market trends and rate intelligence to identify target business.
- Support annual budget preparation and deliver agreed sales strategies.
- Actively source, secure and contract new business and repeat business across all market sectors, with a particular emphasis on corporate meetings, events and banqueting.
- Develop relationships with key accounts and national account managers to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Prepare account development plans for major clients.
- Utilise brand sales initiatives and tools to drive business performance.
- Support the central marketing team with database management and data capture processes.
- Identify and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with local attractions and businesses.
- Coordinate local marketing activity and assist with sales collateral production.
- Manage the hotel's local social media presence and ensure online content remains accurate and up to date.
- Maximise local PR opportunities where appropriate.
- Promote a strong sales culture throughout the hotel and engage with the wider team.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, seminars and local business functions to raise awareness and generate opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within hotel sales and a proactive approach to business development. You will be comfortable building relationships, generating new opportunities and managing existing accounts.
Experience with Salesforce CRM and strong IT skills , including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Zoom). Familiarity with social media and digital marketing platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok is also required.
