Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Mini Bus or Coach Driver to join our family based team in Dromore County Down.
All work is self employed self driven rota with flexibility to pick and choose when you work.
Ideally for Summer work covering Movie Work in Belfast & Locations for immediate start.
These shifts with movies will have all meals and drinks included on your shift.
We also have availability for weekend and night time work with private hire and events as well as airport runs and school work in term time.
We have a fleet of 9 seaters to 61 seater coaches.
We give better rates for weekends and unsocial hours.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure passenger safety and comfort. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where customer service and punctuality are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the mini bus, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport passengers to designated locations in a timely manner
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring their safety throughout the journey
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle interior
- Communicate effectively with passengers and team members to ensure smooth operations
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents during shifts
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed, including checking fluid levels and tyre pressure
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Must have D1 or D licence and tachograph card
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good driving skills with a focus on safety and customer service
- Experience in vehicle maintenance is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Prior experience as a driver or similar role is advantageous
