Warehouse Stores Assistant
Location: Unit 24 Horndon Industrial Park, Brentwood, Essex, CM13 3XL
Hours: Monday–Friday

The Role
We are seeking a diligent and organized Warehouse Stores Assistant to join our dynamic team in Brentwood. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the intake, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring that our warehouse operates smoothly and efficiently. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellence and impeccable service.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Management: Receive, inspect, and store incoming deliveries accurately. Ensure that all products are correctly labelled and stored in designated locations.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records. Report any discrepancies or low stock levels to the Warehouse Manager.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare products for dispatch according to order specifications. Ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Returns Processing: Handle the return of products from customers or engineers, ensuring items are inspected and restocked or disposed of appropriately.
- Purchasing Support: Assist the purchasing team by flagging low stock levels, preparing restock requests, and communicating with suppliers when needed.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of all stock movements, including receipts, dispatches, and returns.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the warehouse. Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Skills and Experience
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in recording and managing stock.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support colleagues as needed.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
- IT Proficiency: Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Qualifications
- Forklift License: Possession of a valid forklift operating license is advantageous but not essential.
- Sage Experience: Familiarity with Sage or similar inventory management software is a plus.
