Overall Purpose of the Role
To support the efficient and effective operation of Profoot’s production activities, ensuring products are assembled, packed, labelled and prepared to the required quality, safety and productivity standards.
The Production Operative will contribute to Profoot’s overall objective of delivering high-quality, market-leading products and excellent service to its customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Production Operative is responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the production operation. All work must be completed accurately, safely and within required timescales, in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Production and Packing Assemble, pack, label and prepare finished goods accurately and in accordance with approved production instructions and specifications.
- Production Machinery Operate production machinery and equipment safely and correctly, following appropriate training and operating procedures.
- Product Quality Carry out required visual and quality checks throughout the production process and immediately report any defects, discrepancies or quality concerns.
- Production Preparation Prepare products, components, packaging materials and other stock required for production activities.
- System Accuracy Accurately record production, stock movements and other relevant information within the company's stock management, ERP or other systems as required.
- Traceability Ensure relevant batch, lot, expiry and production information is recorded accurately where required to maintain product traceability.
- Cleaning and Housekeeping Maintain a clean, organised and safe production environment, including the appropriate cleaning of machinery, equipment, work surfaces and production areas.
- Operational Procedures Follow company production procedures, work instructions, schedules and processes to help achieve required output and service levels.
- Performance Standards Complete assigned production tasks efficiently and accurately, working towards agreed productivity, quality and performance standards.
- Waste and Damages Minimise unnecessary waste, damages and production losses and report any recurring problems or concerns to the line manager.
- Health & Safety Follow all Health & Safety requirements, safe working practices and manual handling procedures at all times. Immediately report hazards, accidents, near misses, damaged equipment or unsafe working conditions.
- Communication Communicate effectively and professionally with managers, directors and colleagues, including raising production, stock, quality or operational issues promptly.
- Teamwork Work collaboratively with colleagues across Production and Warehouse operations to support the overall requirements of the business.
- Other Duties Undertake other reasonable duties that are consistent with the nature and level of the role and that support the effective operation and overall objectives of the business.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
