Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters and Waitresses to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring a memorable dining experience through attentive service, efficient food delivery, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Prior experience in a similar setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Applicants should possess a friendly demeanour, strong organisational skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing questions and resolving issues courteously
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are adhered to at all times
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions responsibly
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and cash transactions
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is desirable
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Previous culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential; willingness to learn is key
