As a Payroll Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining payroll data using Timegate software. You will ensure employee records are accurate and up to date, making amendments where required to support the timely and accurate processing of payroll.
Working closely with the payroll team, you will help ensure all payroll information is completed accurately and submitted within agreed timescales.
- Prepare payroll data using the Timegate workforce management system.
- Maintain and amend employee shift information, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Process and update holiday pay, holiday entitlement, and holiday rules.
- Create and maintain employee base rotas within the system.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in timesheets, shifts, and attendance records.
- Ensure payroll data is complete and ready for processing in line with payroll deadlines.
- Liaise with managers and colleagues to resolve payroll-related queries.
- Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with company policies and data protection requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to the payroll team as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A professional approach when handling confidential information.
