Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to a elderly man with dementia in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves working closely with seniors and individuals requiring special care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
This is a on-going weekend live-in role with the hours being from 11am Saturday morning until 11am Monday morning.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support clients with dementia care, employing behaviour management techniques as needed.
- Provide hospice care for clients in need of end-of-life support, ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care, nursing home settings, or as a caregiver is preferred. Especially experience with dementia patients.
- Certification in First Aid is advantageous.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and behaviour management strategies is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £108.71-£160.00 per day
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
