Cranstons Quality Butchers is a long-established successful family business in Penrith and we are looking for a Hygiene Operative to work within our Cumbrian Foodhall based on Ullswater Road, Penrith.
This job is part time with the schedule Monday - Friday between 5:30 and 7:30pm, with some flexibility over the start and finish time.
The Role:
You will be part of our small but mighty cleaning team, who between them leave our production unit sparkling and ready for action. You will be using industrial cleaning equipment alongside using a personal touch to meet our clean standards.
You will be joining an established team of 5 individuals who work together to clean our Head Offices, Flagship Cumbrian Foodhall and all important Production Unit. This role is based in our Foodhall and is a largely independent position.
Experience needed:
- Exposure to working with cleaning chemicals and products
- Ability to stick to a schedule and carry out tasks promptly
- Enthusiasm to learn and hardworking attitude
- Due to use of chemicals, we are only able to to accept candidates aged 18+
Duties include:
- Cleaning of Foodhall
- Using cleaning equipment such as a floor cleaner or pressure washer
- Using chemicals safely
- Emptying bins and using recycling as necessary
- General tidying to get Foodhall spotless for opening the next day
- Ability to work under own initiative
