A leading civil engineering and construction contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across Europe are currently seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a large-scale project. This contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering complex heavy civils and construction works across multiple sectors and continues to secure high-profile projects nationwide.
The business is well known for investing in their staff, offering long-term progression opportunities and exposure to technically challenging projects within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate setting out and technical support across all phases of the project
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements
- Carry out quality checks and maintain accurate site records
- Coordinate with site management, subcontractors and the wider engineering team
- Assist with resolving technical issues on site
- Monitor health and safety compliance throughout works
- Support planning and day-to-day site operations
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within heavy civils or construction projects
- Strong understanding of surveying equipment and construction drawings
- Relevant engineering or construction-related qualification
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced site environment
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Competent using Microsoft Office and setting out equipment
