Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Support chefs with cooking tasks as directed, ensuring timely and efficient meal production
- Help with general kitchen organisation, including cleaning workstations and sanitising utensils to uphold food safety standards
- Prepare ingredients and assist in plating dishes for service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing timely assistance with meal delivery and customer requests
- Follow all food safety procedures diligently to ensure compliance with hygiene standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food hygiene regulations is advantageous
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is a plus
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety protocols, and serving procedures will be beneficial
