We are recruiting an experienced Senior Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at The Croft, a welcoming residential care home located in Whalley town centre, close to Whalley High Street.

This is a key senior role within our night team, offering the opportunity to take full responsibility for the delivery of high-quality care throughout the night. You will play a vital part in ensuring residents remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for, while consistently upholding the highest standards of dignity, respect, and compassion.
We are looking for a confident and experienced care professional who can work independently, remain calm under pressure, and take ownership of the night shift. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of care throughout the night shift
- Monitor residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing and respond promptly to any changes
- Provide compassionate personal care, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort support
- Administer medication safely and accurately (essential)
- Ensure residents are treated with dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies or incidents
- Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date care records and documentation
- Ensure a safe environment in line with health, safety, and infection control procedures
- Support effective communication and handover with the day team
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home setting (essential)
- Medication trained (essential)
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and care planning
- Confident working independently during night shifts
- Calm, reliable, and responsible approach under pressure
- Excellent communication and written documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
