HGV class 2 delivery driver
Class 2 delivery driver wanted to assist with the manual delivering of potatoes across the central belt. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the potatoes in our 18 tonne HGV. They will be expected to learn about the role; such as the routes driven and shops we deliver to, how and where to stack the potatoes as well as building initial personal relationships with our customer base.
The candidate must be trustworthy, reliable, hard working and well presented. They would be expected to write receipts and collect money from customers and maintain the excellent relationships we already have with our customers.
This is a physically demanding job and is not just a usual multi drop delivery driver and this cannot be expressed enough.
The working week can vary week to week and day to day. We typical start between 5.30 and 7 am and finish once our deliveries have been done and are organised for the next day. This will be a minimum of 40 hours a week spread over 4 days Monday to Thursday. Overtime will also be available as holiday cover and paid at time and a half of hourly rate.
