Job Title: HSDU Technician
Salary : £ 10,603 per annum
Position Type: Permanent
Type of Employment: Part Time
Hours: 16 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Saturday and Sunday ( 8:00 am - 16:30 am )
Location: Russells Hall Hospital, Pensnett Road, Dudley, West Midlands, England, DY1 2HQ
Main Duties
- To work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- To reprocess reusable medical devices in a controlled environment.
- To receive and prepare contaminated equipment for washing through an automated process.
- To reassemble and pack equipment to customer requirements.
- To load equipment into sterilisers and unload.
- To dispatch equipment to theatres, wards and departments
- To safely operate decontamination equipment and undertake routine testing as required.
- To undertake general housekeeping of workstations and dispose of clinical/household waste.
- To report and defects of equipment to Supervisors
- To assist in departmental audits.
- To assist in investigating any non-conformances.
- To undertake any training appropriate to HSDU and to complete all mandatory training.
