Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities within the construction sector, with a particular focus on insurance-related works, tenders, and framework opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction and insurance sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, brokers and clients.
- Identify opportunities for competitive tenders and bids.
- Develop a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and framework opportunities.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry meetings.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Proven business development experience within construction, ideally involving insurance claims and tendering.
- Proven experience in business development or sales roles with a track record of achieving targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software tools to manage client relationships effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, and execute outreach initiatives confidently.
- Self-motivated with an energetic approach to building relationships and closing deals.
- Knowledge of industry-specific contacts.
- Strong understanding of commercial processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet tender deadlines.
- Target-driven, proactive, and commercially focused.
