Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Barback to support our busy bar environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders by maintaining stock levels, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies such as alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
- Assist bartenders with preparing ingredients for cocktails and food preparation when needed
- Ensure the bar is organised and well-stocked at all times to optimise efficiency
- Support the team in serving customers promptly and courteously
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management promptly
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with general cleaning duties around the bar area to uphold high standards of hygiene
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of bar operations, including basic drink mixing and garnishing techniques
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Strong organisational skills to manage stock levels efficiently
- Ability to work swiftly under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in hotel or barista roles can be beneficial but is not essential
- Friendly demeanour with a proactive approach to teamwork and customer service
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures within a hospitality setting
