Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
- Administer medication as authorised and in accordance with care plans
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Support clients with light domestic tasks including meal preparation and light cleaning
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required (driving licence preferred)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving if applicable
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
