Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of breakfast items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met consistently
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline service
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of breakfast dishes and accommodate special dietary requests
- Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and well-stocked, including managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
- Follow recipes accurately while adding creative touches to enhance flavor profiles and presentation
- Support team members during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and food hygiene standards
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of breakfast dishes from scratch
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and ingredient handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
- Serving experience is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of guest service expectations
