Introduction
We are seeking an experienced proactive, reliable and dependable Housekeeping Supervisor with proven supervisory experience in the cleaning sector to support the delivery of cleaning services for a high-profile client site. This role combines hands-on operational supervision with administrative responsability and requires a supervisor who can manage teams, standards, and daily operations independently from day one. Proven supervisory experience within the cleaning sector is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities

- Confidently supervise cleaning teams to ensure service delivery meets agreed standards.
- Ensure smooth daily operations, including planning, task allocation and follow-up.
- Manage security cards and keys, ensuring strict control and safe return.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to support operational priorities and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, including signing sheets, timesheets and operational documention.
- Support staff induction, training, performance monitoring and development.
- Manage staff absences, annual leave, sickness and ensure adequate cover is in place.
- Maintain clear, professional and effective communication with teams and management.
Health & Safety
- Ensure all relevant documentation is up to date, including RAMS, COSHH, site-specific H&S files, and subcontractor compliance.
- Update training logs, complete safety documentation and checklists, and promote a safe working environment across the site.
- Report building defects, unsafe practices, or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Report all accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences in line with the company procedures.
- Deliver toolbox talks and support ongoing H&S awareness with the team.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times, including the correct and safe use of machinery, PPE, and equipment.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent time management and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a professional approach to clients, contractors, and team members.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools is highly desirable.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team, adaptable to change, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Strong professional attitude with a proactive and solution-focused approach to daily operations.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in the cleaning sector is essential. Experience supervising cleaning teams in the corporate or commercial environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- IOSH Working Safely (or willingness to complete the qualification).
- Fluency in Portuguese and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, client facing enviroment.
