We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment/Onboarding Consultant to join the Moran Logistics team at our Castle Donington site, with travel to our other sites across the country as required. This is a day-based role, working 40 hours per week, and offers excellent rates of pay.
About the Role:
This role will be responsible for managing the recruitment process from vacancy through to onboarding, ensuring candidates and managers receive a professional, efficient and supportive service throughout.
The successful candidate will work closely with HR, hiring managers and site management teams to understand recruitment requirements, attract suitable candidates, coordinate interviews and assessments, complete pre-employment checks, and support a smooth onboarding process for new starters.
You will play a key role in supporting recruitment across Moran Logistics sites, within logistics, warehouse and transport operations.
As Recruitment/Onboarding Consultant, you will:
- Manage recruitment activity from start to finish, including vacancy advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and onboarding.
- Work closely with HR, hiring managers and site managers to understand recruitment needs and agree suitable recruitment plans.
- Source candidates through job boards, direct advertising, social media, referrals and other relevant recruitment channels.
- Create and manage vacancy advertisements to attract suitable candidates.
- Build strong relationships with candidates, providing regular communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Register, screen and interview candidates to assess skills, experience and suitability for roles.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, inductions and training requirements with relevant managers.
- Complete right to work checks, background checks, references and other pre-employment checks as required.
- Ensure offer paperwork and onboarding information is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support new starters through the onboarding process and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records using internal systems and databases.
- Ensure recruitment processes are compliant with internal procedures, employment legislation and candidate data requirements.
- Produce recruitment updates and reports as required, including progress against vacancies, interviews, placements and recruitment targets.
- Support the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to the end of probation.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in recruitment, ideally managing candidates from vacancy through to onboarding.
- Experience recruiting within logistics, warehouse, transport, industrial, or another fast-paced operational environment.
- A good understanding of high-volume recruitment and operational staffing requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with candidates, HR and managers.
- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good computer literacy, including experience using databases, recruitment systems or HR systems.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vacancies at one time.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- A full UK driving licence would be desirable due to travel between sites.
