Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Class 2 HGV Tipper Driver and take on an exciting role that combines skilled driving with hands-on delivery work! In this position, you will operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) equipped with a tipper mechanism, transporting materials efficiently and safely to various sites. This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to balance work with your personal commitments while contributing to essential construction, landscaping, or waste management projects. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries and uphold our commitment to safety and professionalism on every journey.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV Tipper vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure optimal safety and compliance
- Load, secure, and deliver materials such as aggregates, soil, or waste to designated locations with precision and care
- Manage tipping operations accurately at each delivery site, ensuring proper disposal or deposit of materials
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, including delivery notes, logs, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes
- Follow all health and safety procedures to protect yourself and others on the road and at delivery sites
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV driving license with relevant experience in commercial driving
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably within construction, waste management, or similar sectors
- Familiarity with flatbed or tipper vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for specific equipment
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance routines
- Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude towards safety and efficiency
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and clients effectively
