Step Into Teaching is delighted to be working with a specialist SEND school provision in Leeds, supporting pupils aged 2 to 19, and is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This SEND provision offers Primary, High School, and Post-16 pathways, providing a secure, caring, and highly supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to fulfil their potential and thrive academically, emotionally, and physically. Each pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is central to their learning, with staff delivering a broad, dynamic, and personalised curriculum tailored to individual needs.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant will need to:
- Hold a Psychology degree (2:2 or above)
- Have strong core subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science (GCSE A*–C)
- Have an interest in a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, SEND, or Teaching
- Be passionate about supporting pupils with complex and additional needs
- Be able to keep pupils engaged, motivated, and emotionally supported
- Be enthusiastic, patient, friendly, and approachable
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities
- Be prepared to work in a busy, varied, and rewarding SEND environment
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
