Barnes coachworks is looking for a full time MET Technician to join our ever growing accident and repair centre The right candidate will hold a valid ATA or NVQ equivalent, or be willing to work towards achieving the correct qualification. If this is out of date we will renew. You will work alone and as part of a team to ensure damaged vehicles are repaired in line with the manufacturer’s specifications, along with liaising with colleagues within the estimating and administration team
You will be required to undertake the repair of damaged vehicles, with being confident in mechanical and electrical fitting, making sure all repairs are to a high standard, adhering to manufacturers methods as appropriate.
You will be required to have your own fully stocked toolbox, with the use of manufacturing specific tools supplied onsite. Due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition
· Identify and communicate any additional faults for further repair
· Perform road testing
· Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
· Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge
· Maintaining good housekeeping standards and administration of your work
