Please note: This position is offered on a self-employed contractor basis. We are looking to work with HGV Class 1 drivers who operate through their own UK Limited Company.
Drivers must have an active Limited Company through which Molat Brothers Ltd can contract with and make payments against valid invoices.
Molat Brothers Ltd is a family-run transport and logistics company with over 10 years of experience in the industry.
Our family has previously operated 44-tonne HGVs across Europe, and we have now started our journey here in the UK. As a new and growing company, we are looking to build a reliable team of professional HGV drivers who want to be part of a company where drivers are valued and treated with respect.
We are currently looking for HGV Class 1 (CE) Tramping Drivers to join our team, primarily working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work depending on operational requirements.
We understand that drivers spend a lot of time away from home, so we want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible while working with us. Our trucks are freshly cleaned and well maintained, and we have fitted them with brand-new mattresses so you can feel comfortable when resting in the cab.
As a small family-run business, our reputation matters to us. We believe in treating our drivers properly, communicating openly and building long-term working relationships.
The Role
- HGV Class 1 (CE) tramping work
- Monday to Friday as the standard working pattern
- Occasional Saturday work may be required depending on workload
- Long and short distance UK routes
- Overnight stays in the truck during the working week
- Safe and professional delivery of goods
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept in good condition
- Following drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations
- Communicating with the office regarding deliveries, delays and any issues on the road
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
About You
We are looking for professional and reliable drivers who take pride in their work.
You should have:
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
- A good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- A responsible and safety-conscious approach to driving
- Good communication skills
- A professional attitude towards customers, colleagues and the vehicle
- The ability to work independently while keeping in regular contact with the office
Experience with long-distance or tramping work is preferred.
