Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Slough, is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join their Engineering & Environmental Test Laboratory on a contract basis.
This hands-on role is focused on the testing and qualification of complex electromechanical products using a range of specialist laboratory and environmental test equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and environmental qualification testing.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation and environmental test equipment.
- Conduct failure investigations and root cause analysis.
- Produce technical reports and analyse test data.
- Support product development through testing and validation.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience within a laboratory, product testing or validation environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical testing, laboratory instrumentation and environmental test equipment.
- Experience with vibration, thermal, climatic or reliability testing would be highly advantageous.
Previous experience within aerospace or another highly regulated engineering environment is desirable.
Pay: £21.00-£24.00 per hour
