The EKSDC are looking for a new team member to provide accurate and timely financial administration, including invoice processing, customer billing, payment handling, and bank reconciliations. The postholder will support the Chief Executive in maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring high‑quality transactional processing.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in an accounts administration or finance assistant role.
- Proven experience of QuickBooks for invoice processing, bank reconciliation, and payment workflows.
- Experience raising customer invoices and managing accounts receivable.
- Experience processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, and maintaining audit trails.
- Experience performing bank reconciliations with accuracy and consistency.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, reconciliations, VAT treatment).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record‑keeping.
- Ability to manage workload independently within a part‑time schedule (20 hours per week).
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas).
- Ability to follow financial procedures and maintain compliance with internal controls.

- Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Professional communication style when dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling financial information.
- Proactive approach to resolving discrepancies and identifying errors.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within a small organisation or SME environment.
- Familiarity with month‑end routines (accruals, prepayments, journals).
- Experience supporting credit control activity.
