Job Title: Academy Goalkeeping Coach
Department: Academy
Reporting to: Head of Academy Goalkeeping
Location: Oriam - Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre, Edinburgh, EH14 4AS and away fixture venues.
Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent employee benefits.
Hours: Part-time, 12 hours per week.
2 midweek training sessions per week, and weekend matchdays. Days and timings subject to change depending on the Academy training and matchday schedule.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club is a Scottish Premiership Professional Football Club based in Edinburgh with Elite Academy Status. We have an exciting opportunity for an Academy Goalkeeping Coach to work within our Academy.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Goalkeeping Coach who has worked within the Elite Football Academy environment with a focus on the development of talented Academy Goalkeepers. The successful candidate will work with Goalkeeping Coaches and Academy staff to plan, deliver, and review coaching sessions aligned with the Club Philosophy, the Hearts Way, whilst helping create a positive environment where our Goalkeepers can thrive.
Academy Goalkeeping Coach Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing coaching programs for Academy Goalkeepers.
- Work with Academy Goalkeepers at both training and matchdays.
- Ensure that all individual and team learning objectives link to the Hearts Way.
- Liaise with colleagues and various coaching staff regarding coaching programs and individual Goalkeeper development.
- Communicate with the Head of Academy Goalkeeping to report on the performance and progress of each Goalkeeper in the Academy
- Provide support on matchdays to age group Coaches, and ensure Goalkeepers are appropriately warmed-up pre-match.
- Create a positive environment for our Goalkeepers’ development.
- Reflect and evaluate training sessions and coaching style, to continuously develop as a coach.
- Assist in any other related duties that may be required.
Experience, Qualifications & Requirements:
- UEFA Goalkeeping B and/or UEFA Goalkeeping A License (Desirable).
- Previous experience of working in an Elite Football Academy, focusing on development of Goalkeepers.
- Currently based in Edinburgh or can reliably commute to Edinburgh and other locations as per the needs of the position.
- Able to evidence the Legal right to work in the UK.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Able to commit to working 2 mid-week evening training sessions per week, and weekend matchdays depending upon the Academy schedule.
