We work closely with local authorities, police, business improvement districts, and businesses to create connected networks and practical solutions that make a real difference to communities.
About the role
We are looking for an Intelligence Development Officer to join our small, friendly team and play a key role in identifying crime trends, developing intelligence, and working with partners to reduce crime and improve safety across London.
This is a varied role that combines intelligence development, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and crime prevention. You will work closely with businesses, police, local authorities, and other partners to gather information, identify emerging threats, and develop actionable intelligence products that support crime reduction initiatives.
Working closely with our Intelligence Team, Crime Reduction Officers, and Partnership Managers, you will help transform information from multiple sources into meaningful intelligence that supports businesses and communities.
This role would suit someone who is naturally curious, enjoys problem-solving, is confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, and has an interest in crime prevention, intelligence, or community safety.
In this role, you will:
Intelligence Development and Analysis

- Identify crime trends, prolific offenders, organised crime groups, and emerging threats affecting businesses and communities
- Produce intelligence briefings, reports, alerts, and analytical products for members and partners
- Use open-source research and other intelligence development techniques to support investigations and intelligence gathering
- Identify intelligence gaps and opportunities for further development
- Support intelligence-led initiatives and crime reduction projects
- Assist in developing recommendations and crime prevention advice for businesses and stakeholders
Partnership Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, police, local authorities, Business Improvement Districts, and security partners
- Engage directly with businesses to gather information and understand local issues
- Attend and support partnership meetings, briefings, and training sessions
- Present intelligence findings and crime trends to partners and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop local intelligence and identify opportunities for intervention
Information Sharing and Communication
- Disseminate intelligence products, alerts, and updates to members and stakeholders
- Support the development of crime prevention communications and awareness campaigns
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and partnership briefings
- Ensure intelligence is recorded, handled, and shared appropriately and in accordance with organisational policies
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Is confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Can present information clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Has strong attention to detail and can work with sensitive information appropriately
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Is willing to undertake a DBS check
You don't need to have worked in intelligence previously to apply. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and an interest in developing a career in intelligence, crime prevention, community safety, or partnership working.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience analysing information, data, or intelligence
- Experience working with businesses, public sector organisations, or partnership environments
- Knowledge of crime prevention, community safety, retail crime, or organised crime
- Experience using intelligence databases, investigation software, or analytical tools
- Experience conducting open-source research (OSINT)
- Experience presenting information to groups or stakeholders
Why work with us
- Be part of a small, supportive, and purpose-driven team
- Flexible hybrid working
- Opportunities for training and professional development
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus Birthday Day off
