About La Chouette School
La Chouette School is a small, friendly bilingual nursery where children grow up learning in both English and French every day.
We’re now looking for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced Bilingual Early Years Practitioner/Room Leader to join our team. If you’re passionate about early childhood education and love the idea of working in a bilingual environment, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role

Supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing, bilingual (English and French) environment.

Planning fun and engaging activities that help every child thrive and build confidence.

Leading the room day-to-day — keeping it organised, happy and full of energy.

Encouraging children’s language development naturally through play, conversation, and daily routines.

Building strong, positive relationships with children, families and the team.

Completing observations, assessments and planning next steps.

Working closely with colleagues to create a warm, inclusive setting where bilingualism is celebrated.
What We’re Looking For

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (essential).

At least 2 years’ experience working in an early years setting.

Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written)

Experience supporting communication and language development.

Confident leading a small team, with a positive and flexible attitude.

Good knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and early childhood development.

Someone with a warm, caring approach who wants to make a real difference every day.

Additional Information

Full-time hours during term time (Monday to Friday).

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
