About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Primary Editorial and Delivery team in the UK Education Division, creating high-quality, market-leading Maths resources for primary schools.
The main responsibility of the Development Editor is to take print and digital projects through the production process, working with authors and other editors, Design and Digital teams to ensure that high-quality, market appropriate products publish on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Applying editorial skills, judgement, and best practice to ensure that products are accurate, appropriate, accessible and published to match curriculum requirements
- Progressing resources through the production process, from manuscript to finished product (both print and digital resources)
- Proactive problem-solving to ensure that resources come out to schedule and within budget.
- Building and fostering good working relationships with colleagues, freelancers, authors and suppliers
- Adapting quickly to evolving editorial processes and workflows, including XML-based publishing and collaboration with external suppliers
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge of primary schools market.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
